iQOO Z6 Pro 5G Review: A solid midrange phone for photography and games

This year, iQOO has introduced a number of mid-priced and inexpensive phones. This year, the business introduced three iQOO Z6 series smartphones to the Indian market: the iQOO Z6 5G, iQOO Z6 44W, and iQOO Z6 Pro 5G. This iQoo series has been created especially for gamers. In this line of phones, the manufacturer has included several excellent physical features. The iQOO Z6 Pro 5G, the most expensive model in this lineup, was the subject of our review.

Design: iQOO Z6 Pro 5G

Let’s start by discussing the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G’s design. This phone’s design is identical to that of the Vivo T1 Pro. On the rear of the phone, there will be a distinctive camera design. The phone’s camera module has two circular rings, one of which housing the main camera. In addition, an LED flashlight is included in the camera module’s middle. This iQoo phone’s camera module sports a dual-color finish, giving the impression that the phone is split in two.

The rear of this phone features a matte finishing option thanks to the usage of 3D plastic material. On the back panel, fingerprints are difficult to see because of the matte appearance. But you may use the clear silicone cover that the business included with the phone.

The iQOO Z6 Pro 5G’s front panel has the appearance of a low-end phone from the front. It sports water- or teardrop-shaped notch on the display that houses the selfie camera. Above it, the speaker is identified. The chin is rather thick, but the bezels on each side of the display are narrow. On the right side of the frame are the phone’s power and volume buttons. The power button and fingerprint sensor are combined. At the bottom of the gadget are a Type C charging jack, a SIM card tray, and a speaker grille. On the top, there is just one microphone.

Regarding the general design, we thought it was decent. You won’t find the 180-gram iQOO Z6 Pro to be very weighty. It will be easy to hold because of the rear panel’s matte surface. The design was not given much thought by the corporation. It may have been improved.

Display: iQOO Z6 Pro 5G

The phone’s display was created by iQOO using an AMOLED display panel. The phone’s display is 6.44 inches in size and can reach a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. It also supports HDR10+, which raises the caliber of its display. The nicest aspect is that you can see everything on the screen well even in bright sunshine.

Long periods of time may be spent browsing material on OTT services like Netflix, Prime Video, and SonyLIV with this phone’s display. In order to precisely prevent harmful blue light from reaching the eyes, the firm has included the SGS Eye Care Protection function in this phone.

Even when playing games, this phone’s display functions nicely. It supports a 180Hz touch sampling rate and a 90Hz high refresh rate. When playing games with rich graphics, like COD Mobile, etc., the phone’s display will function well in standard mode. Additionally, when playing the game in Ultra mode, the display’s frame rate stays accurate, so you won’t experience any latency. Because there are several phones with AMOLED displays and 120Hz refresh rates available on the market for this price, I considered its display to be average for gaming.

Performance: iQOO Z6 Pro 5G

The iQOO Z6 Pro 5G sports an Octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G CPU. Many mid-range smartphones released this year featured this chipset. Its unique feature is that it is regarded as suitable for everyday tasks like phoning, web surfing, binge-watching, gaming, and so forth.

Three storage options are available for this phone: 6GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB RAM + 128GB, and 12GB RAM + 256GB. I’ve reviewed the highest model, which has 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone also has an extended RAM option that allows you to boost the RAM by 4GB. I didn’t feel the need for it, though. The phone’s 12GB of RAM prevented me from experiencing any slowness when using it.

Battery performance: iQOO Z6 Pro 5G.

This smartphone has 66W rapid charging and a 4,700mAh battery. The phone’s battery charges completely from zero to full in roughly one hour. The benefit of quick charging is that after 20 minutes of charging, you may use it comfortably for 5 to 6 hours. The phone’s battery backup is adequate. Once completely charged, it functions without any issues all day.

Camera: iQOO Z6 Pro 5G

The triple rear camera system of the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G has a 64MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The 16MP front camera may be used for selfies and video calls. Let’s discuss the phone’s primary camera first. The phone’s camera can take nice pictures during the daytime.

Because of the primary lens’s f/1.79 aperture, photos taken in natural light have good detail. The phone’s camera software uses AI, or artificial intelligence, to adjust the color of the clicked image. You may instantly publish a photo to social networking sites like Instagram and Snapchat by clicking it.

Should buy the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G?

The iQOO Z6 Pro has a starting price of Rs 23,999. Compared to other phones in this price range, it performs better. The phone includes a fast charging capability. Additionally, a single charge is sufficient for a full day of use. In terms of camera characteristics, you can take decent photos in the sun and get good images even in dim lighting. The design of this phone is what I didn’t like. Additionally, it might have used a better display.

In terms of overall satisfaction, the phone may offer good value for regular usage. Additionally, the phone is a decent gaming option at this price point. This can be a better choice for you if you want to spend less money on a good gaming phone.
