The country’s leading automaker Tata Motors (Tata Motors) has discontinued the Tata Altroz XE, XZ Dark, and XZ(O) diesel variants. Along with this, the XZA(O) petrol variant of the hatchback has also been discontinued. However, Tata Motors has added XT Dark Edition to the lineup of Altroz.
Along with the changes in the variants, Tata Motors has reintroduced the High Street Gold color scheme for the Altroz. This hatchback is now available in a total of seven color options. In which High Street Gold, Opera Blue, Arcade Grey, Downtown Red, Avenue White, Cosmo Black, and Harbor Blue.
Tata Motors has not given any reason for discontinuing these variants. However, according to the dealers, it may be linked to the sale. In the past few months, Tata Altroz sales have seen a year-on-year decline, while some dealers say this is just to refresh the lineup, as Tata Motors recently did with the Nexon. did.
Apart from the lineup changes, the Tata Altroz has not been mechanically changed. The Tata Altroz gets three engine options, an 85 bhp 1.2-liter petrol engine, a 108 bhp 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, and an 89 bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine. The gearbox options are also the same – manual and DCT.
In terms of competition, the Tata Altroz competes with the Hyundai i20 (Hyundai i20), Maruti Suzuki Baleno (Maruti Suzuki Baleno) and Toyota Glanza (Toyota Glanza) in the Indian market.
